I think the BM 710 I have could use larger thumbstuds--the length/weight of the blade adds some rotational inertia, and my thumb hurts after flipping it for a while. I was wondering if there are aftermarket thumb studs I can screw on to replace the stock ones? Or if BM will sell me a set of Benchmade Rift thumbstuds, which are large (and would they even fit?)?
I also have the Mini-Presidio, which looks like it uses the exact same thumbstuds, but is a much smaller knife with a lighter and shorter blade so it works well. But for the longer, heavier blade, I think larger ones would make it more comfortable to flick open.
Edit: Well nevermind, I just noticed that there is no additional clearance for accomodation of a larger diameter thumbstud. I guess I will have to stop flicking open my knives so many times a day.
