Like it says...
Does anybody know where i can get a replacemtn thumb stud for a Lrg Regular Sebbie.... I dont mind the one that is on it.. But wouldnt mind something else....
I might customize mine... So im looking for some ideas also...
Including replacement parts.. such as clips, thumb studs.... and any modification ideas.. Such as polishing... I may be doing some CNC work to the handles...
But i want to leave the handle and blade finish...
Anything else is fair game....
Thanks guys....
I hope someone can help me out with some ideas/ places to find parts

Thanks
in advance fellow CRK fans..

There is a few places that sell thumb studs and the like so i cant see you having any problems finding a replacement.
I removed the "point" on my small Seb. thumb stud, that made it feel a bit better, i also got rid of the blue on the stud and spacer as well.
I was going to replace the thumb stud but it was easier just to modify the one already there

I hear ya... Im already going to polish the stud and the blue backspacer.... But i could still use info and where to find a stock stud that will fit the factory threads.. Unless it is pressed in.... And maybe a clip in a different shape....
Otherwise i will just polish all the hard wear....
Thanks again Haze
Matt

I thought the stud was pressed in. I know that when a refurb is done, usually the stud is replaced.

I am looking at replacing the studs on one of my sebbies, probable with one of the knife maker supply places.

I am pretty sure the gnarmin here on the fourms has done this to several of his.

I believe the stud is indeed pressed in. Im not sure about the double luged Sebs though ?

Just like Toe Jam said - they are pressed in. Somebody, I`m not sure if it was on this forum or over at the EDC forum, came up with a pretty cool DIY method to remove the stud. He used some (hex?) bits and a vise IIRC...... .

You can easily find replacement thumbstuds. The problem I had w/ a BM Rift I was going to change out the thumbstud was the ones I orderd, and the only ones I could find had a 3/16" hole for the thumbstud, the hole from the factory was smaller which would require me drilling out the hole. Without a drill press on hardened steel..I didnt get very far. I'm sure if you had a drill press you could, or someone could, drill out the hole enough so the new one would fit...just my .02
