Hey guys. The keyless entry remote on my '09 Suburban is too dang big, and takes up too much room in my pocket. And I can't not use it. If I don't use the remote to enter the vehicle, and just use the key, it sets off the alarm. And I can't disable the alarm. It looks like the terrorists have finally won.

I would like to find a super small replacement remote. Are there any small aftermarket vehicle replacement remotes out there? My research says not really. Thanks.

Yep, I like my VW Passat but, not the large "switchblade" key. I'd like a normal size key in addition to a reasonable size remote.

I feel your pain. Some one decided that a mazda 323 needed a fully integrated immobilizer system. And somehow I ended up with that car. Unfortunately without knowing why they bothered (partial system failure or added security) I can't start dropping the hundreds to find out. Some day it will leave me somewhere. if the remote dies, the car dies.

Lock your vehicle from the power lock button on the door and the alarm shouldn't arm. You can then use the key to unlock and open the door without setting it off.

Locking with the fob arms the system and only unlocking with the fob will disarm it.
