So I’ve recently acquired and started to restore quite a few nice inoue Tosuke kamisoris’s.

I’m doing fairly good on the blades but need some help on the handles. I like the hemp thread or rope but what specifically is being used for a binder?

Or

Any good sources for those nice blue rubber handles?

Ty!

Probably just glue unless you want to use a natural tar.

I usually wrap them with chair caning. Them handles come up on the auction site fairly regular and they don't give them away.

I soak the cane in warm water first. Sometimes I will build up the handle with cardboard or hot glue, sometimes not. Either way it's quick fix.
