(short story explaining my situation, feel free to skip) A few years ago I recieve a BM 556 mini griptillian (clip point). Never left home w/o it, I kept it by my side 24-7 until last week when I lost it during a weekend of airsoft (similar game to paintball). I have about a 0% chance of finding my knife again, and despite relativly low funds and centimental loss I'm determined to replace my pocket knife. Although the BM served me well I contemplated replacing it with the identical knife, but I think if I'm going to spend the money I may as well get somthing real nice. I've never noticed how useful a pocket knife was until I lost mine, its strange I keep firing my hand in my right pocket everytime i knee a knife just to be dissapointed again and again....quite frustrating.

As of now I'm seriously concidering getting a manual folding Microtech Vector; from what I've heard from some knife-nut friends the quality of microtech is almost unsurpassed in the world of production knives. Would anyone recommend this knife? Or should I be eye-balling somthing different? If so suggestions are much apprecieted :)

Thanks,

KJB

If I were you, I'd just go ahead and get another BM 556 Mini-Grip.

I also have a Griptillion and really like it. Would love to have a Microtech class of knife but not as an everyday carry. Would be to afraid to lose it.

Buck Mayo, Baby! I ended up with only that folder due to a packing error last weekend and man is it sweet, worth every penny.

If you liked it that much I suggest you get another one. Lots of people buy knife after knife, looking for just the right one. Sure that can be fun sometimes, but not really when money is tight. I'd say make sure you have at least one you know suits you, and when things pick up look around for something different if you feel like it.
