Replacing the front scale (plate)

I own a few Sebenzas and here is what I want to do. I own a custom small regular Sebenza with a design on the front plate and a raindrop damascus blade. I also own a small regular Sebenza (Lisa's pick, Nov '02). I dont want the custom design anymore, I want to take the front plate off the Lisa's pick knife and put it on the custom knife backing and damascus blade. I was told that the front plates can interchange just not the back plates due to the locking bar and such. So should I have a problem taking apart the two knifes and just basically swapping the front plates between the two knives? Thanks in advance.
