How can I do so? I don't have one yet but I was thinking of purchasing a small Victorinox model with a pen and want to know if I can pick up replacements at the store. If you can help with what brands and models of ink replacements, that would be great.

The ink pens in any of Victorinox knives are easily bought and replaced. However there are no substitute brands or "store" bought models to do so. You will need to buy from an authorized Victorinox dealer. The ink pens are not that expensive to buy, usually $2-$4 depending on what model you are looking for.

As far as I know all the replacement pens, large and small, are supplied by Victorinox and only come in blue ink. The large pen is just pushed in to the scale like the toothpick or tweezers. The small pen like you find on the Manager is just a push fit in to a holder under the scale. If you can't find them in your local store you should find them online.

I can just talk about the Vic Compact. The pen fits in the handle. Just to remove with your fingernail. Here in Germany are theese pens sold in any hardware store for about 3,50 €.

About any other Vic pattern I can´t talk about. I don´t have each other with an added pen.

KInd regards

Any SAK that uses the retractable pen can be fitted with a retractable stylus for writing on touch screen surfaces. From the top down: stylus, retractable pen, removable pen.

Some dealers call the stylus a "palm pointer."

You can easy pick up a new pen if need be at an Vic dealer or a popular auction site.

I was hoping I could just go to staples or office max and pick up some cheap replacements. Oh well. I think I'll pass on those models.

They aren't the sort of pens you would use every day, they are more for emergency use when a normal pen isn't available. The ones I have, have lasted for ages and haven't dried up, so you'd only be looking to replace them after a number of years, so not a big problem. I think they are handy to have. I keep a Manager on my keys and have used the pen a couple of times.
