If you need to replace the pins on a China or a Taiwan Knife, it is all fairly easy to do,and should not take more than a min. or two at the most. Simply clamp your vice grip on the pin and pull it out. You may need to rock the handles back and forth a bit, to work the pin out enough to grab a hold of it.
Next take a #6 finish nail, and put it where the pin use to be. Use a pair of cutters and cut the nail about 1/8 from the handle. Then simply pound on it with a hammer. You are done and that is all there is to it. It may not be as pretty as you want, on your first few attempts, but you have a good working knife now. Better than new as far as function. Thanks, JohnR7
