hello.
is there a better washer to use than the ones that come with the emerson knives stock. my mini-cqc7 feels good. but not very slick. i disassembled it and cleaned everything down. wiped it down with break free. and the action is still good. but not glassy. you know that bust a nut, feel so good opening that my 98 commander has???

I converted a 2000 Commander BTS to brass washers, the brass washers are the exact same thickness and size as the plastic ones. The plus to using these brass washers is that they are 17% oil impregnated, with a light oiling they are silky smooth and it helps eliminate seating problems, in some cases.
It seems to have made the knife even more sturdy. I mean ZERO play in locked position.

Also I have tried various oils on the Emersons pivots and have found Tuf Glide to work the BEST. It is sold by the makers of Tuf Cloth. It holds up better in water or for extended periods of not oiling.

I've thought about doing that myself, where did you get washers the same size and thickness if I can ask ?
