Sometimes, I see where someone had replied to a topic and yet there is only the initial posting. I see where there are 3 replies to my Spyderco stuff posting, yet I can only view one.. I am still on AOHell. I tried closing and reopening BF, still nothing. Thanks, Fish

It's AOL.

Try Shift and refresh, but to tell you the truth, you'd probably be better off just minimizing AOL and starting Netscape externally.

I'll check back when I get back from the show

I have received two email notifications that my post has been replied to, DJO62 and Carver, yet just my post and Carver's first reply show. The relpy counter reads 4 now...

AOL uses a caching proxy server that stores webpages that are frequented regularly. Since BladeForums.com is essentially a big bunch of webpages, it will store them, then when asked for one serve up the stored version, not the latest ones.

My recommendations:

1. Dump AOL. Failing that,
2. Minimize AOL upon connection, and then launce Netscape or IE externally and use it.

Always make sure that in your preferences you have "always load page from the host" (or similar option) checked so that you get the latest pages.

I am not in aolhell and I'm running the latest version of Netscape and I have it set to compare document in cache every time, yet I often don't see the latest posts in a thread until I hit "reload." This happens with all UBB forums, not just here. I've just got the habit now, I click on a thread and as soon as it starts to load I rightclick and hit "reload." Since that works, apparently always, I consider it a browser problem rather than a UBB problem.

I'm not sure even hitting "reload" would work for aol users since the cache that's screwing you up is not on your system, but you could try it. Anyway, even following Spark's directions to run Netscape externally, expect to have to hit "reload" every time to make sure to see all the posts.

Thanks guys! I am on AOHell at home, I don't have problems at work. Fish

I am having the same problem as Cougar Allen. And, it just started happening very recently... bummer!
