Replying to messages fails if the reply is long

This started happening a few days ago. If I reply to a message and type more than maybe 3 short paragraphs, I am unable to preview it, or post it. When I try to preview, or post, there is a long delay and then the page times, giving me a browser error message. If I shorten my reply to just few paragraphs, I am able to post it and preview it.

I've logged out and back in. I've also looked at my settings, but I can't see anything relevant. Any idea what's going on?

There is a glitch. It seems to come and go. Write your post on a notepad or word processor and paste it in piecemeal until the glitch moves on.
 
This is happening to me today with just a 2 short paragraph reply.
 
I too had this happen twice today. The reply was less than 20 words and the server timed out. Once at around 11:30am and again about 9pm.
 
I had the same issues last night, I think in the same general time frame as mentioned by RevDevil above (late evening). Finally tried a different browser, and it worked; though I suspect that was sheer luck (it was still very slow). Found out this morning, another member attempting to reply to my post in the same thread also had the same troubles.

Hadn't seen it this bad in a while; had hoped some of that bug had been worked out.
