Dad still in hospital but doing pretty well. They tell me he needs bed rest to regain strength. Changed his meds to stronger stuff. He's off IVs and oxygen. I'm taking day off and will alert cousins to present circumstances. If they want to see only surviving uncle they had best get it done.

Spent eveing with old college prof pal and drank too much -- escape mechanism.

When Frank gets settled in I'll address my own problems. Priorities.

Thanks all for good support and understanding. Give Yangdu a hand if you can. Shopping site is not working right and she's having problems with it.

More later. Will pop in as time allows.

God bless you and your family, Uncle Bill. I just lost my 11 month old daughter Zoë to leukemia this September, so situations like yours are very real and personal to me. I want you to know that I am praying for you and your dad, that God would provide you and your family with His perfect peace that defies understanding, and the comfort that only He can give; for your and your dad's healing, but most of all that He would reveal Himself to you, and draw you to Him, and to a deep knowledge of Him. Because in a sense, Zoë was a seed, planted in the ground, and in this way, she will bear much fruit. Uncle, I know your religious beliefs are different than mine, but if there is nothing real or of value to be found in my belief, then I say let me realize this and abandon it, and let my words fall harmlessly to the ground.
