New guy here with, what may be a stupid question.
Is it possible to reprofile and sharpen S110V on a Ken Onion Worksharp carbide belt?
I've done at least 20 blades with good success but I've never tried to use this belt system on a "super steel". I know it will probably take a lot longer to work with S110V but if I'm patient, and use a slow speed, will I get the kind of edge I can brag about?
Thanks

You will go through many belts. It will be cheaper to just buy a few diamond stones that will last longer and cut faster.

But it's possible.

I’ve also been reading that the spider co-sharpmaker will work on very hard steals - at least the ceramic rods. I have one of those and will probably try with that to see if I can work a nicer than factory edge. I think I’m also more likely to end up with a uniform bevel on each side with the sharp maker.
Those belts are expensive and my wife seems to be able to count them as new ones come home.
Thanks
