Ive been carrying a Spyderco K2 essentially everyday as my work knife for over a year now and I have loved almost everything about it. I just couldn’t get past the rhino horn blade tip, from time to time Id almost forget about it then there it was starring at me. Well that changed today. I started with a 65 grit belt and did 90% of the work then 120 and 200 to reach the desired shape and finished with a medium Scotchbrite belt. I dunked it in water after every pass and kept it cool and had no color distortion. I’m quite pleased with the result.

I know it’s Farid’s thing to have that blade shape but I’ve always disliked it too. Yours is better to my eye. Looks like a great job to me.

I can see why it was originally ground with a up swept point. But I like the trailing point better. Good job. How do you like the way it holds a edge? DM

It holds an edge very well considering hell I put it through, cutting wire, scraping gaskets, scraping build up off of igniters, and cutting who knows what in a days time. The corrosion resistance leaves a little to be desired though, but I probably could do a much better job at keeping it wiped clean all the time but I’m not.
