Reprofiling akm bayonets - anyone had any success?

I have given akm bayonets a look lately, the ones that appear to be hard chrome plated, clip point & chisel grind.

I have heard of people reprofiling them so they have a double bevel.

I'm guessing this would narrow the blade depth to an extent due to the change in geometry.

Also heard they are on the soft side like other bayonets.

But the price is right. . .
