I just picked one of these up, I saw on the birth card it is Devin Thomas B&W Reptilian Damascus, I was wondering if I could get a bit more info on these since I couldn't really find much online. I know CRK does a lot of damascus, but I haven't seen this Reptilian damascus much (I mostly see raindrop or ladder). It is a small unique regular.

I think this one is etched but I'm not sure. Just wanted a bit more info.

Edit: Better pictures.

Congratulations on an excellent score, I missed that one by this much. It's the first one I've ever seen with that type of damascus. I do know that some of the retailers have in the past ordered special runs of Sebenza's and that could be one of them. Black and White is high carbon steel, beautiful to look at but be careful using not to let it rust. Absolutely stunning, if you ever decide to let it go, let me know.

That's a beautiful blade. I suspect that CRK probably picked the Reptilian pattern as a replacement for the Spirograph. Devin has a large assortment of Damascus designs on his website; I suspect so long as CRK & Devin continue to collaborate, that well eventually see more of Devin's advertised Damascus patterns on various CRK's.

Na, that is a small regular sebenza and they haven't made them for a couple of years now and the Damascus is BW which means it's high carbon, they stopped making HC awhile back. This is probably one of those special orders that CRK retailers sell like River of Fire Damascus or Rose Vines Damascus.

I haven't had too many damascus blades, but just the feel and look of this one made me think carbon, so I wanted to double check. Just the more reason to not EDC this one, kind of afraid of ruining such a nice blade! Thanks for the info. (:

That's a beautiful Sebenza. As Dino pointed out, you have something special there as it's a regular with carbon damascus.

Contrats! I came really close to snapping that one up. Too many other commitments over the next month or so brought me to my senses! Looking forward to seeing more pics of it.

That is an uncommon variety of Damascus for a Sebenza.

Congrats on a great score.

Just got home and took some better pictures with my DSLR. Updated the first post!

Interesting, just realized it's almost the same style as my Large. Nice Pictures.

It almost looks like a merging of Basket weave and Spirograph Damascus, Most Excellent.
