Becker 7/9 vs. Swap Rat Camp Tramp/Combat Rat
Looking for overall impressions, quality, dependability, chopping/clearing ability, etc. The Swap Rats are considerably more expensive, but its almost worth it for the warrenty alone. They also look a little more ergo to me. I have a size 9 hand, usually a med., and tend to like thinner grips. Looking for a "survival" knife, that means chopping/splitting wood, possible digging prying, and zero combat. As a point of reference, I am also considering a few of the GB hatchets, but am considering the larger blades for the infrequent yet possible need of brush clearing. Pacific NW, so its mostly woody.
Thanks,
Eric
