nice score... i have always liked those BRKT mountain man knives... like most Barkie's, they're meant to be used, i''m sure it'll serve you well...

Awesome knife. I use to have one in black canvas micarta. One of the first batch

I have to say that out of all the Barkies out now this is the only one that speaks to me. Good length and really thin I can't see this one as being anything but a slice-o-matic. The only reason I don't have one is that I can't afford it. I think you will be impressed with it and I'm saying that just on specs alone. Carve your turkey at thanksgiving with it and post a review. That might just push me over the edge and force me to afford it.:D

I have one.
I'm not really a fan of thin knives.I found mine is only really good for slicing soft materials.Anything harder than that (wood especially) I feel like I'll run the risk of damaging the edge. It's a well made knife as far as fit and finish goes.Just a little thin for my needs.

I really like thin knives.I use knives to slice and cut stuff if I want to chop wood I'll get out the axe.

I like my Moutain Man knife so much, I ordered another one. Not only is it a great knife in the kitchen, the 52100 steel really holds a sharp edge. I have even done some light baton work with the knife. It is a most useful tool. Here is mine along side a Green River 6" butcher for comparison.

It's a handy knife to take on a hike.

Knives are "forbidden" in the regional park, so I just tucked it in my waistband to avoid stupid questions from sheeple. My vest covered the handle. The sheath has a belt loop. No in hand shots, but I have big hands and the coffin handle works well for me.

thanks horn dog- i love the coffin handle too, i wish it was used a little more in working knives, only because i love the look haha no other reason...but really, is any other reason needed?

Looks great and 51200 is awesome steel...what's not to like, don't forget a full report when ya get it !!!!

the mountain man is my favorite design from brkt, I wanna see what's everybody's opinion on it!!!!!!

 I agree. If I have to baton,it's because I wasn't able to carry the axe, or thrown into a survival situation and I had too. The MM looks kinda like the Kephart in a way. I sure wish I had either (or both!)

Thanks to you guys, I just bought a Mountain Man. Wow!! Love this knife. Works great in the kitchen. Just thought I would post a few pics for you all. Here it is in Olivewood:
