Request: Cold Steel Voyager teardown.

I really want to see this thing taken apart and documented. How do they achieve super smooth deployment at this price point?
 
I won't do it for you, but I would guess they decreased the tension on spring that keeps the rocker in place.
 
My 2011 medium tanto Voyager wasn't easy to deploy and the lock bar literally hurt my thumb when I tried to close it, I usually had to use 2 hands. I guess I got one with a really stiff spring.

Give it time, they smooth out and require about half the effort after broken in.
 
I'd like to know if there are any of the pre-g10 large & x-large Voyagers left floating around the web for sale. I'd like to buy a back-up and I hate the new G-10 models POS models that are out now. :grumpy:

I'm sure they improved the tolerances and better overall fit and finish was the result. Unless you have calipers and micrometers for eyes, you can't tell the difference by looking at a pile of parts. ;)
