thats actually a really nice comparison image, because it's taken from a distance the lens/perspective distortion is greatly reduced, and you get the ash1, sjtac, sfno and sh-e all in one image

and a very nice bm-e, shbm, b9, fbm comparison

Thanks that's exactly what I was hoping for! The ASH1 looks like a meat cleaver compared to the SJTAC, lol.:D

Yes it does look like that. The funny thing though is side by side they have the same blade length but the ASH is shorter more compact and the grip is way better than the tac grip. The only drawback is the ridiculous .320 blade which makes it heavy. That being said I am getting used to the weight and the basic design is very nice.

That particular ASH-1 is thin. It's an SE version.

Wow! That is a great pic, especially in terms of perspective. Every time I try something like that, the GWs start to look as big as FBMs.

How did you do that? What was the actual distance from lens to subject?

I put the knives on a piece of plywood, stood on a chair, and zoomed as much as I could zoom. :p

I was careful to try and get the lens near the center of the knives.

Parallax view is a real beetch to get rid of. Case in point... THe SHBM looks bigger than the LE in this pic.

I sure do like that SE. The ASH LE will be my first store bought LE (other than the GW LE) just to get a thinner one. I have always stayed away from the LE's because I have never been particular to the "fatties". To each his own.
