I have the new Oyabun in Carbon V, and the older version. I like the new one better. The P.O.B. seems to be more towards the handle then the older version. Came wickedly sharp out of the box, but remember it IS Carbon steel, so the knife-edge will rust if not oiled. The rest of the carbon blade is covered in a sort of baked on black finish to keep it from rusting. I like the handling of the knife, but the handle is a little thin for me, maybe it's just me, i cordwrapped my Spyderco SPOT because i like a fat grip. It should make a very good fighter, sharp, fast . Some adverse things about it are the lack of a pommel, and the kydex sheat wich is rather good with very good retention but leaves a streak on the blade about 2 inch from the front. So not a show off knife but would feel very well protected with it when a nightprowler would come in or used as a fixed blade hiking knife.
