First off, Happy New Year everyone!

Now that BM has discoutinued the legendary BM710-HS :thumbdn:  :grumpy: my knife choices has now shifted to getting either the Spydie Manix or the new Gen. 4 Endura (I have the old one). I need help deciding.

Any of you lucky owners mind sharing a few user impressions and PICS? (Ahem-TOB9595?)

Thanks in advance!

Very strong update to the fundamental and possibly benchmark blades for economical high performance utility folders. I am in the middle of a review on the Endura :

Interesting concerning the liners, I never even noticed them. I'll have to do flex tests on the handle compared to solid FRN, it may be more of an issue with the screws seating.

Hey Cliff the E4 seems to have better texture on the grip and I think is a biy wider.I like it more then my old one.

One thing I noticed when I held one: the scales are still flat. I remember reading somewhere that the new Endura and Delica would have contoured, 3D handles, but this isn't the case.

Huh? Really? I read something like that too. I heard they will also be offered in grey too?

My thanks too Cliff! Really gives testament to the power of simplicity and function of Spyderco knives.

Cliff, Great review!
I really appreciate your contributions to this forum.

I also can't wait to get my own hands on the Endura4 and Delica4.

Yes it was changed in may ways, the new pattern is much more aggressive than the old. It wasn't a problem for me in various cutting work, but you can feel it in stabs, however it will lock your hand in tight and I could do a dozen hard jackhammer stabs without any significant skin problems. I like the new texturing and the upgrades in general. It was always a solid knife for the price, it now really strong from a price/peformance viewpoint or just performance in general.
