Mr. Glesser, please, PLEASE make the CF Police a regular production item. I got mine yesterday and it is awesome, but I'm hesitant to use it since it was made in limited numbers. It saddens me to think that such a wonderful knife is just going to sit, but I don't know what else to do.

If you make the CF Police a regular item, it could be made with a different blade steel or at least without the serial number, so the collector value of the original run will not be too adversely affected.

I'm a long time Spyderco fan, from the days when there were only a handful of Spydies to choose from, and this is the first time I felt compelled to make a request like this.

Thanks for listening, and of course, thanks for the great knives.

If going to make a regular production knife: Also loose the heavy liners the CF don't need them and it would make the knife so much lighter and easy to carry :)

I have two. It's the only solution. Hee hee. :D I too, think the CF Police is very very nice. It beats the other versions all to heck IMO. Congrats on your new acquisition.

Hi Klesk, thanx for the support and the kind words. We question whether or not there would be enough potential customers to support a regular model. I guess we'll watch reactions over the next year.

Main line items need to do enough business to maintain inventory costs. Each new model in the main line means another model must be disco'd to make room.

Hi NGK. Carbon Fiber won't provide enough strength for the clip screws. Nesting an insert raises costs more than a single liner.

I love my CF Police, it feels solid in the hand, something I didn't expect from CF. I love the VG-10 blade as well, good choice of blade steel IMHO.

lets see, my carbon fibre collection is as follows... does anyone know what ones I am missing ??

- Dragonfly SE
- Delica SE
- Ladybug
- Civilian SE
- Civilian PE
- Police SE

I can't think of any CF knives I am missing an example of except for the cricket.... please tell me the ones I am missing.

I would think thier would be enough demand for special 1500 knife runs of CF models.... personaly I would like to see a CF Military, Endura and spyderhawk. :) :) :)

Just my opinion....

Westicle,

Looking good from an SE standpoint. All those listed were/are avialable in PE and the Police and Delicas are also available in southpaw versions. Hamonoichiba.com still has the CF Dragonfly PEs in stock for about $67.00 US.

I like SE though :) :)

I might add more PE to my collection but I really love the spyder edge.

Westicle,

Might be gearing up for a Hamo order in the next few weeks. Drop me a line if you want me to check on the CF Cricket SE.

Can't the clip be modified so it can be fixed in the backspacer instead of the liner? This way there won't be the need for an aditional liner. Of course, I'm talking only about lockbacks here.
It's true that the knife will allow only tip up carry, but lockbacks are good at this ;)
