I decided to ask this after reading an earlier post. I chose to get the black paper Muk. I have had several g10 and canvas micarta handles, but I have yet to handle or really get a good look at any paper micarta.

People seem to like it. Do you have any pics of any Busse knife with black paper micarta? Thanks in advance.

Heres you a few brother:)

Wow.... I think I drooled on my keyboard. I like the pumpkin, but those look fantastic. Thanks man.

You take some wonderful pics Ken. I bought my first Busse from you (satin red G10 GW). Just drooled over the giant blown up pic of it until I got it. Thanks again.

Not sure if I made a mistake in ordering the Muck in black G10. What do you fellas think?

It is going to be used a lot in the kitchen. So lots of soap and water on it. The black paper handles on my Cabs do feel nice in hand.

Sell me on the black paper? Or should I just stick with the G10.

i like paper because of the "warm" factor. it seem's more grippy and alive in the hand vs. g-10 which feel's harder and cold to me. g-10 is tougher, paper will chip out on high spot's and the edge's. this just give's it some charcter in my mind. i never have had any problem's with soap and water on mine, just keep the grip wiped dry and you'll be fine. hope this help's some.

Black paper is pretty light when compared to G10. Right?

yes, substantially.

WHich does give it use under right conditions. I prefer paper for most but on the satin gladius where the handles are hand shaped the g10 wins. Its heavier to help balance the blade but its also tougher and wont have to worry about breaking handle due to it being relatively thin etc.
