If anyone is heading for the knife show (I can't, I have to work

), could you check out Spyderco's ATR prototype and give us a description and report on it.

ATR stands for "At The Ready," a new Martial Bladecraft folder designed in-house at Spyderco. Sal said "no pictures" until next year, but descriptions after the NYC show are OK.

Overall length?
Blade shape?
Blade steel?
Lock type? (Sal hinted at Compression Lock)
Handle material?
Novel features?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Got the chance to handle it briefly at the show on Friday. Wow. Great knife. Compression Lock, etc. Sal pocketed it later in the day & I didn't see it in the case for the latter part of the day on Friday. Did he put it back in on Sat/Sun? I guess he wanted to keep it out of the public eye until it's 100% ready.
