I was just wondering if any of you have checked out the 110lbs anvil offered by DIY Tools? I am guessing it is about the same quality as the Princes Auto anvils, but its worth asking if anyone has checked them out. My brother is heading up to North Bay camping next week and I could have him pick one up for me if they are any good, but for the price I am not holding my breath:o

I did a little research and it is a cast iron anvil. Also it is actually 123 lbs, they just list it as a 110. I would say that it is an anvil shaped object more than anything.

So its looking like the ASO from Princes Auto is still the better way to go for a make do anvil, at least the PA one is cast steel. Thanks, but where did you find the info, the web site was very basic in their description.

I've never been in that store, but the photos look the same as PA

Kijiji has lots of anvils in your area, just not at that price...

Funny I am not seeing anything in my area, but a few up in the Toronto area:confused: I am now living 4.5 hours east of Toronto and that is just to the outskirts.

Yup that one looks real nice, but just a bit far to go on a bike:p I missed a nice PW while I was in Winnipeg by a few minutes I called the guy and he had just hung up with the guy that bought it for $100. Worst thing is he bought it for scrap metal:grumpy: I offered to buy it from the new owner for $100 more than the scrap yard would give him for it and he turned it down:confused: He must have realize that it was worth something more than its weight, 150lbs if I recall.
