I sit here looking at my new Small Sebenza contemplating getting it all scratched up as a user. Despite all the stories about using a Sebenza to cut roofing shingles or sheetrock, every picture I have seen posted of a Sebenza has been perfect with no apparent use. So how about a few shots of your well worn user so I can see what I have to look forward to?

Thanks,
Rick

believe me, I'm working on uglifying mine! You can bet that it'll be put to the test. NOT ABUSED! Good sebby, good sebby... It makes me wonder... Does *anyone* go out and buy the best Milwalkee (sp) or Dewalt or Porter Cable tools just to worry about babying the thing? I'd SERIOUSLY like to think not! Which brings me to another question... see topic: "I've got wood!" ...please, that is! Please...

I think I've got a couple of poor scans on my photopoint account, that I'll post for you. They don't really show the scratches on the handles or clip (which aren't that bad, IMO) or the many smaller scratches that are only visible if you turn the blade while looking at it in direct light, but do show some vertical scratches from cutting through some aluminum cans while fooling around, and the wear on the thumbstud's anodized finish.

Like I said, poor scans, but I'm working on it (trying different backgrounds, settings).
I haven't had the knife that long (or the scanner, obviously

), and am sure it will continue to accumulate small scratches. If it ever gets beat all to crap, I'll just send it in to be refurbished.

Owen, thanks for the image. I have been looking at the great images of the wood Sebenzas, and after seeing those pretty knives I look at my plain knife and it looks like a user! Someday I will have to break down and get a wood model, but they are so nice I'm not sure I could put it to hard use.
