Hey there ALL,

Just got a Bird & Trout fixed blade /sheath knife from a good fellow member in the Trade / Swap Thread in the Traditional forum not to long ago.

Its got the tang stamp in two lines: SCHRADE + {over} U.S.A. LTD

Its full tang construction, 7 3/4 inches total length, Ducks Unlimited Shield on very nice STAG Scales, two N/S pins and Bolsters, lanyard hole and full length brown leather sheath.

The problem is that the Photobucket site is down at the moment so I can not post pictures. Sorry!.

If anyone can help me just by description I sure would be much obliged

Most Sincerely,
Anthony

....eeeeerrrr ...Codger all I got was Jason and Amanda declaring their love forever and a Doggy Santa... and..and....I know I'm not the brightest lamp in the street.........but where's the knife? Hoo Roo

No, tinypic.com is just an alternate photo hosting site to use. That page allows the OP to upload and post his picture while his usual host is down.

Wow Codger,
You da man for that..

I "Think" this is a 164UH Badger made for Ducks Unlimited, but the year escapes me. Serialized, they were mounted in the duck decoy display by Big Sky Carvers. Look over in the Collectors site and see if you can locate the right flyer for it.

I can sympathize with your host being down. My normal host just sold out (then resold, I think) and among the changes they made was to delete my account and pictures from as far back as three years ago. Luckily, lrv helped me to salvage them from the site before that happened. Coincidinkly, my wife had deleted my computer and I lost everything. All my research, pictures and writings. I am still recovering those.

Here is another alternate hosting site (the reincarnation of my old one) that is pretty good.

Yikes.. Sorry to hear about your wifes little mishap! And thanks very kindly for the photo link..

I believe you are correct about the model #164, however, no serialized number anywhere that I can see on the knife makes me wonder all the more about it. It is however a very nicely built sheath knife.

It was quite common for Schrade to make more of a knife issue than was required by the order. Some of these were among the knives sold in the auction back in '04. I and several others bought them when they came up for sale. Mine was a reject for mis-matched scales I believe. Reject or not, it is still a decent knife and displays well. I mean, you don't see but one side at a time, right?:) I have the base 164UH Badger if I ever decide I want to use one.
