Hi guys, I'm debating whether to get a Mini Commander or a Micro Commander. I haven't been able to find a picture of the two of them together so I can have a comparison.

I usually carry a 2.9" to 3.2" inches in my pocket and the Mini with it's almost 3.5" might be a tad too big, still it's something I am considering.

Anyone can help?

Also, any info regarding the everyday use of the Micro (is it a tough knife? too small? retains edge? etc) is also appreciated.

I’d like to find a Micro Commander. They are sold out everywhere except E-bay which I don’t fully trust. lol I will say one thing though the Micro would be better for discrete EDC. I have carried the mini and full sized in the past and while they are fine for EDC due to thinner profile the size of the Micro has the overall size advantage. It’s got the same overall build so it will be just as tough as the larger ones. It just may not perform as good as a larger blade for some things you may need one for. Honestly though, anything requiring more toughness than the Micro would call for a fixed blade IMHO.

While I don't have a mini for comparison, I do own the micro and love it. I too find the ideal carry size to be roughly between 2.75 and 3.3 ish so the micro fit my needs perfectly. I can say that if you like that range, you will love the micro size. The hole isn't the easiest to use for deployment but the wave feature of course works wonderfully. Once you get use to the hole it isn't too bad but I find the it requires a bit more finesse than say Spyderco. It feels very comfortable in hand so I have no issues there.
