Below is a thread I started in "Kershaw Knives" forum and it was a big hit. I know double posting is illegal, but I consider this opening my thread up to a wider audience, since the Leek is so well liked. I implore you to listen...

Thomas,

I haven't been on the forum for awhile, but you've always helped me and that is appreciated to the utmost. I wanted to suggest to you a custom job (that I mentioned long ago) that you guys helped me out with...

When you're ZDP-189 Leek came out, I didn't like it because I couldn't (didn't have the means) to sharpen it correctly. I called customer service and they put a Random Leek blade on the ZDP-189's titanium scales.

After using this for over a year almost on a daily basis, I have to say it's the best knife I've ever used. The titanium scales makes it feel like it's not there, but when I need it, the Random Leek's S30V blade comes through EVERY SINGLE TIME, and with flying colors!

My request is that you put this combination into production. I PROMISE you that Kershaw will sell out of these. Customers will go berserk to get a hold of these, and when they use them other people will see that these compete - and best - other knives of the titanium/S30V combination.

The knife is the perfect combination of materials... please pass this on to whoever you need to get this into production.

With all sincerity and appreciation,
RC

P.S. Now, in the original thread - which is still going on - fishface5 posted an idea to make this in the new composite D2 edged blade. I think that would also be an awesome combination, and I'd buy one... point is though, I think we need more titanium (and a little more cowbell :D)...

My first thought when I read the thread was D2 Composite please! That would be a sure buy for many, many people.
