In the photo in Post #1 of the thread concerning the grey bone handled 110 ( https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/my-favorite-110.1027459/#post-11718926 ) , the end label on the box of that knife has the statement "Required for Redemption" as does just about every other early Buck box that I have seen. I bought some of these knives NIB at the time and never gave a second thought to what it was that was "redeemable" for. Was it simply a "proof of purchase" that had to included with the knife if it needed to be returned for warranty work? Anyone have a clue about this??
