Requirements for an avatar?

It's been a while since I last signed up for a membership, and can't remember if there is any requirement before an avatar can be attached to a forum ID?

Is there an obvious reference post that I've missed?

Avatars require a paid membership.

D David Sun - the software will automatically resize avatars depending on the size of the user's screen. The largest size avatar is 192x192, but for most screens it'll be reduced to 96x96, and for small phones it'll be 48x48.

Max avatar file size is 148k IIRC
