Requirements for my next folder

I've narrowed my search of a 250$ or less folder down to a ZT 0350 or the Doug Ritter Griptilian. Glad I got it down to two. If anybody wants to try and weigh in on the benefits of one over the other please do so. I do a lot of outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, fishing and hiking. I do mechanical stuff and need a folder for around the house/to cut things for family. Size doesn't matter nor does sheeple friendly. S30V or better please.

Now that I think of it, perhaps you can still find the original big Spyderco Manix if you shop around. It fills all your needs.
Or the Manix 2 in its S90V blade/ CF handle version. I bought one of these on ebay for a bit less than $200. Very tough knife.

Can't go wrong with any of the knives you've picked. Personally I'd go with the Ritter based on all your needs.

You can get the ZT0350 AND the S30V Blur at that price. I'd go for that option :)

Agree on the ritter grip or even a HK 14205. The HK is one of the best knives BM is making and it has a wicked thick blade and strong tip. Only issue is that it uses 154CM and that IMHO is better then S30V, but is a downgrade to some people. Or try a 710D2 from BM.

I am thinking that the ZT 0200 sounds like what you are needing. I unloaded all my 200s and am sitting on a pile of 0300s and regretting it. The 200 is so smooth, easy to carry and will work comfortably all day.

Yeah, I'd go with the CPM154 myself (oh wait, I did :)) but I wanted to stick to what he picked out...I hate when people say "I want either X or Y" and the next reply is "buy Z".

It's annoying. :D

I'll just have to let you slide spiral. :(

Me too :D

So do I, I was just throwin out the CPM154 version because the ZT350 has S30V, nothing wrong with the S30V Blur though

Would the d2 710 be better than the ritter? i forgot about the 710! i need to start a list of must have knives so when it comes time i don't miss any.

G10 Tyrade. It's a steal at the price. I'd take it over the 0350, and it's less expensive.

Ok guys, I think I settled on the Orange Ritter grip or the zt0350. If anyone has any other knives to recommend that will outclass the ritter please, chime in. still iffy on the military knives, leaning more towards a no but i just don't know enough about these knives.

At first I would have said the Military but I know you are concerned over the tip. So, I am leaning more toweards the ZT200 now as the ergos are fantastic. Its a little on the heavy side but a very sturdy folder for the money.

I have a regular Orange Griptilian and I really like everything about it except the handle material. To me, G10 just feels better. The Grip's handle feels like plastic to me.

Since you like orange, Are you sure the G10 Orange G10 Tyrade is not what you might be looking for?

I don't mind heavy knives at all, i won't sacrafice quality for lightness. I BMX and my friends constantly rag on my 35lb bike, but my parts outlast theirs by years :-). Anyways, I love the looks of the ZT's. I don't order knives offline so i don't know what my price range is online, ive seen 40 to 50$ off store prices online. I just need my eyes opened to my options. I want to EDC this knife for years and get comfortable with it. I've had very few knives i use straight.
