Has Spyderco ever retooled and rereleased models that they have previously discontinued? Or once a model is DC'ed is it dead.
Thanks,

Sal mentioned awhile back that they will probably rework and rerelease Blackhawk and Renegade. At least enough to use up the parts they have. I hope so. I like the blade shape, but the scales and clip need some refinement.

Oh yeah! A Renegade with 440V or VG-10 and a liner lock! That would be sweet! ( Are you listening Sal?

Actually, if you look at the Renegade, the scales seem to have been cut for a liner-lock.

i don't think we'll be getting a new variation of the renegade and blackhawk. the jist i got from sal was that they were going to just use up the blades they had. he said the scales were cut that way to make it more comfortable to hold, but it ended up confusing people. also the clip was an afterthought, as anyone who has seen one of these might guess. if you want the full story, do a search on the blackhawk.

V-1 - It depends on demand and our ability to reproduce the item.

In some cases, a company may wish to order a "batch" to use as an exclusive or as a special premium. In such a case, we could reproduce the item for that company. We did some of this for AG Russell.
