Resale value of Benchmade 940-1701?

What are 940-1701 models selling for now? Very interested in finding one, but like to have a ball-park idea on what would be a good "bargain/fair" purchase price. I believe Going Gear sold for around $230-240? I am seeing some on eBay for around $400-500, which seems high to me. I can see marking up to $300-350 range? What are y'all seeing out there?

Are you a collector? If not I'd suggest some aftermarket 940 scales. I've seen some in ctek just like the one in question. I just don't think any 940 is worth that much unless your a collector and have to have it.

I am not a "true" collector.. More or less just a knife obsession, but like to buy at good prices in case I do sell so I can recover most of my investment. I really like the 20cv blade and red thumb stud, but I also realize it is not worth what many are asking. Appreciate your thoughts!
