I started this knife some time back with plans to give to my Dad as a gift. I finished up today and I like it so much I'm tempted to keep it! Of course, I won't.

Casey, So, good to see you posting. A fine looking upgrade. Very handsome burl. Did you clip the heads of the pins off and the old slabs fell off? Gigg'em Aggies. Johnny Football could go to Cleveland... DM

Thanks folks. I'm kicking myself for not having "in process" photos.

I picked up a small sheet of mesquite burl a while back because it was very unique and I figured it would be great for this sort of thing. I've already done a 110 and 112 with it. Given this 301 is smaller, I was able to get some really good burl out of that sheet for this project that wouldn't work on the bigger knives.
 
Quick update. I put a super glue finish on it and it really shines. Very proud of this one. Thanks for looking.
