How would one go about getting a new set of scales for an alpha dorado? The ones on mine are ok, i am just looking to change things up a bit.

Hey Prop, what kind of scales are you thinking about? I have a set of green dyed burl that were made by muskrat man also. They are nice, but I don't like to use my Dorado with them on. Send me an email with your addy, and I will mail them to ya. I can try to get pics up tomorrow if that may be something you are interested in.

Thank you, ill take both of you up on you offer. I have laser engraved handles on mine, i didnt use it much it was a 2 year safety award from Hewlett Packard from their boise office. There are a couple spots where it looks like the clear coat is coming off. Its a nice blade, 154cm bos treated. But i wanted a new set of handles to spruce it up. I have what i consider an unhealty affliction for desert ironwood and carbon fiber but I am always down with trying something new.

A new set of handles can be had just with ordering the wood in size and working it with coping saw, file and sandpaper . Perhaps 30$ tied up in it not counting labor . DM

This way you will have different options, you can swap them out for different days of the week
