I was digging around in the attic looking through some boxes. One of the boxes has some of my old Coast Guard stuff. Well, while walkin down memory lane I found my old Orange handle Rescue Clipit still clipped to an old flightsuit! That box has been there since 1998! I thought I had lost that knife or gave it away? Still nice even after sitting in an attic for 12 years.

Nice find. I kind of like losing things this way, winds up being a nice surprise when you find it. Though if I was looking for it for years, it may be another story.

Hi OldSarSwmr -

Cool!

Whenever someone in the family loses something, I normally ask them to look in their winter coat pockets, or any outerwear that they have not used in a while.

It's nice that you found that old friend, and that it is in great shape!

So, are you going to give it some EDC time now that it is back in the collection?

best regards -

i used to have one in OD green. my friends dad comes up to my one day and is like i know youre into knives and stuff and ive had this one sitting in the safe for about 15 years so you can have it. i ended up trading it for a benchmade nimravus so not too bad!

I remember when we first started giving these out to the rest of the flight crew, originally black handled, we slid band-aids under the clip! That was in 1992 or 1993 if my memory serves me right? I carried one in my top right front pocket of my flightsuit everyday till I got out in 1998. Great knife from a great company. I've carried an Endura SS and Delica SS mostly and have a decent collection of Spydies now. Guess Sal made an impression way back when. ;)
