I recently picked one of these up in a trade and was curious if anyone could give me a rough estimate of its age...how long did they use this steel and when were they made? I am not concerned about value/collectability, im giving it to a local firefighter who will definitely get more use out of it than I will.

much appreciated rycen, ive never been in the market for a "rescue" knife, so I hadn't a clue. it was one of those "im just gonna throw this one in also" kinda deals, so I wasn't gonna say no, I knew I could find it a good home. its real clean with just a few minor scratches on the pocket clip.
 
No problem. It is an FRN handle correct? Black or orange?
