Rather than add to the existing Cold Steel request threads, I am curious to know if anyone else would like to see a line of rescue/first response knives from Cold Steel? I have several from different manufacturers, back from my days in fire/EMS/hazmat. I would think that some models from CS, with the triad lock, would be great.

My wish list would include:

Partially serrated blade
Carbide window breaker point
Webbing cutter
A variety of blade shapes, to include a blunted or sheepsfoot
Bright orange or neon-green handle or scales, so you can find it when you drop it on the fireground
A large flipper suitable for manipulation with turnout gloves on
Something easy to wash out
Made of corrosion-resistant materials

CS used to make a serrated sheepfoot rescue knife back in the day. It was 4 inches in blade length, with a blue handle. The also made the Er1 that was a manual action otf with a 3 inch blade. (they also made a couple of other variations with a double edged blade and a tanto.)

Yes, the knife you are referring to was called the Land and Sea Rescue.

I wouldn't mind seeing them bring it back (they have brought back other discontinued models).

This time with a plain edge version, along with the full-serrated version too.
