Well I'm trying to decide on which version of the rescue to get. The 93mm version comes in serrated all the way to the edge as well as serrated up to about an inch and then plain edge to the tip. Then there is the smaller 79mm version that is serrated all the way.

I will be using this as a utility knife at work (cutting seatbelts, clothing, car bumpers at accidents etc.) and possibly for edc in addition to a waved zt or Emerson. Which version do y'all like the best and find most useful? I'm leaning pretty hard towards the 93mm combo edge.

Serrations can work pretty well on straps and seat belts, because you do get a bit of sawing action. Your edge doesn't need to be super sharp.

I have the saver salt which is the 79mm but in H1. I bought it for the following of reasons;

- I was looking for a smaller knife that I could travel with
- It has a choil which helps out so much with a smaller knife so much so that it doesn't feel small at all
- I wanted the H1 as I often travel to places with an ocean
- Its light weight
- the bright colour is less scary for NKP's and foreign authorities

If size doesn't come into the equation for you, I am sure the 93mm would be great or the assist? The combination style edge would no doubt be handy to have I think it would be a little more versatile than completely serrated.

Here is a photo with the saver salt compared to a few others for size;

Wow, nice collection! Thanks for the reply, I'm going to try the CE version out.

I think that's a good decision its a really well designed handle, very comfortable in the 79mm I am sure the larger platform will be even better. It will be a perfect complement to your other EDC's.
