Very interesting, was given a Victorinox Rescue Tool for my birthday (thank you kids for paying attention to Daddy's needs).

Interested by the one hand opening. The thumb hole on the blade is larger and rounder than the one on my One Hand Trekker (my favourite 111mm SAK). First impression I find it harder to use, particularly for right hand use as the base of my thumb catches on the window breaker as the blade opens. The blade is in the middle of a thicker handle than the OHT. But then I tried it wearing gloves and it works very well. So, if it was designed for use with gloves, they got it right.

Off to break some windows.....

Hi,

I also got one as a gift from my older kids. Yeah it's made to be used by people wearing heavy gloves like firemen/rescue personnel.

On the other hand, if you've ever worn such gloves and tried working in them, you would find that you still wouldn't enough dexterity to open it one handed. Particularly if those gloves have been wet and then dried out. But the large hole does give pretty fair purchase for pinching it open while wearing those gloves.

Have fun wreaking a car with your new toy!!
