For my community college craft marketing class, I need some information on knife-maker/buyer's interest in Damascus jewelry, primarily simple shaped pendants and belt buckles for men in copper Damascus. This post is not me advertising to make sales, it's just for a sample marketing plan. My thought is that people who love Damascus knives would also like to wear pieces daily or on special occasions. The basic price range is $60-100, depending in part on the material it is wrapped in. Thank you for your feedback!

That's pretty cool.

Saying that, I have some thoughts. What are you doing to keep the steel from rusting and the copper from leaving blue residue on skin?

I use spray enamel currently

People tend to rub a pendant with their fingers. Kinda like a nervous habit. Enamel won't hold up. It's going to need to more wear resistant. Remember, sweat is basically salt water.

I'd look into clear baked on epoxy coatings. Clear powder coat if they make clear.

Wow, thank you so much for the tip! I will definitely look into this. I appreciate it.

I’m a fan, and have several pieces, but they’re carbon and ‘oxidize’….the baked-on finish would be promising
