Rod has started a new website/group for those interested in old kukris. The high falutin' name says it all The International Kukri Research & Historical Society. If you have any questions in a historical context or need to ID pieces this will be the place to go. There is a sign up fee of $3500 and it already has some guys on it who have good insights and are anxious to share their knowledge and collections. I think he is waiving this modest fee for the first 10,000 to sign up, so take a look. www.ikrhs.com

Here in San Francisco $3500 is not only modest, but mere pocket change, beer money, a quick lunch.

Rod tells me he's getting a lot of good response. It should be an interesting site.

I'm guessing that's 35.00 dollars...I hope.

Cunomor, Welcome to HI forum.

Uncle Bill used to say that John is rich. He's not rich, he just skips lunch a lot ;) .

Munk, rest easy. It's not $35 anything...it's free.

The DUCK is so medicated he tries to do everything twice to make sure he did it right in the first place.

Berk, if you skip lunch you can overindulge later.

Munk, what John is trying to say is it's free if you slip me a $1000 gratuity, but definitely not $35.

It still beats the $3500 quoted in the original post.
