Hey guys. I'm brand new to knives and just picked up my first Spyderco: Salt 1. I love H1 steel but am kinda disappointed with the rounded tip.

Have any of you out there reshaped the tip for your knives? I don't have a belt sander or anything. Are there any professional sharpeners that you recommend?

EDIT - Kinda like this

If you want to re shape the spine of the blade to come down to the tip, you could just do it with a file. bringing the edge up to the spine to make it more pointy on the other hand, would be much harder.

you can glue a piece of sandpaper to a piece of wood and work the tip to a point fairly easy. just put tape on the edge so you dont get cut.
