Ive been wanting to get a Resilence but haven't seen any reviews.

If you have one how do you like yours ?

Pros & Cons.. What's it like compared to a Millie ?

shawn_rayYoutube???

I'd like some comments from the Spydie forum.

I've watched some Youtube reviews....most aren't that good.

Somebody out there(on this forum) must have a Resilence.

I really like like mine. I think of it as an inexpensive folding version of the Temperance fixed blade that I can beat on without much concern.

I'd love a version in VG-10, but 8Cr13MoV is not bad at all. The quality and fit & finish are outstanding for the money.

The quality is just awesome for a $45ish knife. The knife came razor sharp and it does have a nice thick point to it. The G-10 is great as my hand don't slide on the knife even when wet etc. -- mine opens with a small flick and lock up rock solid both horz. and vert.
I own about 40 Spyders and ALL of them cost twice or three times as much but this one or my new Tenasious are now my EDC knifes.

Assuming this is the bigger version of the Tenacious (without looking)... I was VERY impressed with the f&f and quality of my tenacious. In fact there is NO REASON that I would give a second thought to carrying again. Only reason I switched is that the ergos of a lockback (D4/E4) work better than these liners for my southpaw carry. That Tenacious came with a better edge than my new Endura FFG, though!

Gotta chime in on the value of the resilience...imo not too big for carry, very smooth operner, useful bladeshape, i find myself using it quite often, even at home where i have other cutting tools laying around. to be perfectly honest, i can't really define a noticeable difference in quality compared to the other spydies i have, endura, police g10, and its better than the kabar folders, kershaw low end folders, and crkt stuff i have...a definite buy-recommendation...

The Resilience is just incredible. It would have been one of my top three EDC knives if it hadn't been for the fact that I have as yet been unable to move the clip to the tip-up position. (and now I don't carry it at all as a result )
Other than that, I like its F&F (it looks like it costs 3x the price and as well made as the GB) the size, the weight, the action (smoooooooooooth), the G10, the blade shape and geometry, yes, even the steel (super easy to touch up), there's nothing I DON'T like about the Resilience.
And the the price... If they made the exact same knife with a better steel (or even a super premium steel) it would be the awesomest EDC knife.
And please Spyderco, use one type of screw only, and please, ship all folders tip-up as default??? PLEASE???
Anyway. Resilience: highly recommended!

I cut my thumb today trying to trim some plastic with it. The edge is sharp but still too obtuse for cutting stiff materials like that (in other words, it has a normal edge). My re-profiled Caly 3 with a .005" thick edge finished the job effortlessly.

Overall I love the profile of the Resilience. It has good sized handle, almost perfect for my hands, and lots of edge. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a flipper. As-is if the blade closed on your finger it would give a nasty cut, so I can't recommend it for hard use.
As a light use slicer it is an amazing knife. Even without the flipper I would get another one if they made a high end model.

Good enough for me. A Resilience will be my next knife purchase.

Big knife, good quality and quite a value. The blade length is like a sword. But I have so many knives that the Resilience never gets any attention.

Great picture, powernoddle. Can anybody throw a bone to my lazy butt and pride the names/part numbers of shown knives?

Just bought one today at Grand prairie knives. I have to say it is a very high quality knife and very sharp. It is a big knife though so consider that if that would be an issue. i'd like to get the other models in this line as well. Great value.

clockman, I have handled all of the 4 PRC-made Spydies, except for the Ambitious. They have all had excellent F&F and quality construction. I have given some of each of them to friends, and everyone who's received one has been happy. The Resilience is HUGE, and IMO, too big for most users/jobs. I think most people will be best served with a Persistence. I've been buying mine lately from Cutlery Shoppe.

I don't *carry* any of these because I don't like liner locks. All of my Spydies are ball bearing locks, front locks, or compression locks.

do they offer these in full spyderedge?

I keep going back and forth about wanting a knife in full spydieedge, and I think a big ol' resilience would do the trick.
