I did a make over to my Resilience that a trading buddy of mine, Korbiaka, did to his Tenacious. I like it a lot better now. The Resilience has great cutting edge geometry with its ffg blade but I just didn't like the how the back of the blade was humped. Now it looks like a poor man Millie! ;) What do you guys think?

Looks good! I did the same thing to my Persistence a while back. The hump on the spine of the blade bothered me.

Looks great! Did you just use a file to do that? I wonder if a belt sander would work. Now you need to try to open up that hole to 9/16

Sweet mod.

I love the Resilience, but it really needs a flipper because:
1. Spyderco hasn't done a flipper yet and this model would be perfect for it.
2. Flippers keep your fingers safe.

(I guess what I'm trying to say is the Resilience is great in the kitchen but I'll take the Military for hard work every time.)

I started with a bench grinder and a cup of cold water to dunk the blade in to keep from over heating it. Once I got the grind close I switched to a Dremel tool using a grinding drum. I finished with the spine with 400 grit wet/dry sand paper and a flat surface. (my kitchen table) As to opening up the thumb hole to a larger size, I'm afraid to tackle that job. The grinding was hard enough! That Chinese stainless is tough stuff!

That looks really good. If I tried that my knife would look terrible.

Yeah, um, no flippers please. :)

I wasn't carrying mine much because I didn't like the look of the blade. I used it around the house to peel apples and stuff. Being it was such a great slicer and cutter I decided to make it more presentable. Now I carry it quite a bit since I reshaped the blade.
