I've been researching about res c and it is really interesting on how tough the material is. But how will it hold up after 5+ years of using it? Going in and out of kydex, batoning on it once in a while to balance the blade in batoning. Has anyone actually damaged it from usage?

Its literally like a truck tire. And you wouldn't baton the handle right? Scrapyard knives are top notch tools.

Res C is extremely durable and also a fantastic shock absorbing materials for brutal jobs. Its my favorite Busse handle material.

I wrecked the handle on my Battle Rat by using it for years as a dedicated thrower and beating on it in general. It was loose in the front, and rattled on the tang. I sent it in and they put a new handle on at no charge. It is covered by the same warranty as the rest.

You have to beat the crap out of it for a very long time to damage it.
