I had the perfect plan. I bought a small Sebenza 21 (my first) with inlays around Easter and I was going to buy a large 21 next summer depending on how much I liked the small one. Then the news of the 25 replacing the 21 hit and I really had my heart set on a 21. Well, now a large micarta 21 is heading my way :). I saw some plain 21's in stock at an online dealer and was thinking of getting it but I wasn't sure. Later they got the micarta ones in stock and it just felt right, so I pulled the trigger :).
 
What resistance? I just got a small micarta from beau007 :) Seems my other knives are going away and the CRK collection is slowly growing.
 
I got my large Sebenza today! Got it delivered to the office and I've been itching all day to get to handle it. It's funny because during my vacation I was using mostly small knives like the ladybug and candiru, so when I got home the Caly 3 felt enormous. Now the Sebenza feels huge. After holding it for a while the small sebenza feels tiny all of a sudden.

Am I to expect the micarta to darken significantly after a while? I hope so.

Big CONGRATULATIONS! I'm happy for you and know how you feel. I got a small Sebenza a week or so ago. Looks just like your small... African Blackwood? I like it so much I just bought a 2010 model from another member here and just got off the phone with Angela putting a Sebenza 25 on pre-order.

Those are some great looking knives you have, especially the two Sebs!
 
Thanks! I love my small sebenza (bocote). I've mostly been into smaller knives, so it's a bit of an adjustment to get used to the bigger size of the large sebenza, which is the largest folder I own (except one balisong which is longer over all).
