RESOLVED - Hapstone Universal Angled Clamps and Adapter for the Toohr #3, Redux

The adapters for the Hapstone clamps have quite a bit of slop; that is they wobble/rock from side to side on the ToohR. rail. I used a feeler gauge and I COULD shim them using 32 gauge flat Craft Wire (copper or brass). But I foresee having to fuss with this solution every time I need to move/adjust the clamps.

Wondering if anyone else uses this aftermarket system for Hapstone clamps and if they experience the same issue.

I'm considering trying to trade or sell the clamps and buy the TSPROF clamps for the ToohR instead.

My adapters are extremely tight and well fitting. Did you buy the correct model of adapter? The ones you want are "Hapstone R2 Clamp Adapter for TSProf K03"

Those are the ones I have.

I was using the below ("Znic") thumb screws. After taking the time - probably my 3rd. go round - to go back and forth between these and the socket head hex screws supplied with the adapters, flipping/switching the adapters and screws, it seems for some reason the Gritomatic supplied socket head hex screws, which aren't fully threaded, snugs up the adapters just fine and eliminates any wobble. I don't understand why this would be the case. Gritomatic now sells an almost identical thumb screw.
